The “People Over Politics” campaign of 2018 focused on two events: the launch of the candidacy of Maryland businessman Neal Simon for U.S. Senate and the launch of Unite America’s first-ever national slate of five independent candidates. Leveraging a diverse set of creative PR strategies and results-driven media relations tactics, GMG generated an unprecedented amount of news coverage – more than two billion impressions – on the two launch events. On Election Day 2018, voters cast more ballots (8 million) for more independent candidates (386) than at any time in recent history.
