Leah earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. She has also studied at various levels at Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, Boston College, University of Granada (Spain) and University of Deusto (Spain). She hails from New England and currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, two amazing daughters and her best friend and canine, Phoebe.
Michiko (Michi) Murakami Morales is senior vice president of public relations at Gabriel Marketing Group. A senior communications and marketing professional with more than 20 years of public relations, communications and marketing experiences, Michi has led communications campaigns for clients in various industries including technology, IT services, defense contracting, business consulting, higher education, consumer product, education, healthcare, non-profit and financial services. Michi has managed successful media and analyst relations campaigns and secured coverage in numerous national and international media including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Bloomberg News, Fortune, Forbes, TIME, The Washington Post, CNN and CNBC.
Throughout her career, Michi has held a number of strategic public relations positions including senior vice president of Global Communicators, a D.C.-based international PR firm; vice president of Stanton Communications, a D.C.-based national PR firm; and senior counselor at The Martin Agency/SLAY Public Relations, a Richmond, Va.-based national advertising/PR agency. Before joining GMG, Michiko worked as an independent public relations consultant, providing senior-level strategic PR and marketing counsel as well as media relations services to clients in the high-technology marketplace. Michi earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Central Washington University.
Michael Tebo is vice president of public relations at Gabriel Marketing Group. A media relations professional with more than 20 years of experience across a diverse set of industries – including high technology, automotive, aerospace/aviation, manufacturing and non-profit advocacy – Michael is expert in messaging and media strategies that increase reach and engagement among key stakeholders. A trusted advisor to clients, Michael has secured a wide range of front-page and top-tier news coverage for clients – including front-page news coverage in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek and USA Today; cover stories in WIRED magazine and U.S. News & World Report; and client appearances on ABC News’ Nightline, NBC Nightly News, NBC’s The Today Show and National Public Radio’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered – and managed a number of controversies and crises for issues related to consumer product safety, high-profile cyberattacks and critical infrastructure safety.
Before GMG, Michael managed the Washington, D.C. corporate affairs office for American Honda Motor Company. He also previously served as an account director at WE Communications in Seattle, Wash. Michael began his career managing the press office for Georgetown University’s medical center and School of Medicine and later founded the public affairs office at Resources for the Future, an independent, public policy think tank based in Washington, D.C. that conducts impartial economic research about environmental, energy and natural resource issues.
A native of Delaware, Michael graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Boston University with a master’s degree in public relations.
Melinda Adamec is senior vice president of marketing at Gabriel Marketing Group, leading GMG’s delivery of client services in market strategy consulting, digital marketing and advertising, SEO, marketing automation and content development. Melinda also oversees GMG’s marketing strategies to strengthen the company’s market position and achieve its aggressive growth goals.
With more than 20 years of experience in both B2B and B2C consumer packaged product companies as well as digital marketing and PR agencies, Melinda previously led strategic partnerships, product management, branding and business development at OMI Industries, a Chicago-based manufacturer of plant-based products. Before OMI Industries, she held various executive and leadership roles at PR and marketing services firms GolinHarris and DBC PR + New Media. Some of her clients included Ace Hardware, AT&T, Blackboard, Hair Cuttery, IAC, Mars, McDonalds, Microsoft, Reuters, Rosetta Stone, U.S. Mint and the U.S. Postal Service. Melinda earned her bachelor’s degree from The Catholic University of America.
