It’s truly a great time to be working in the tech PR field, with new, innovative technologies being developed on a daily basis – and the world, and its businesses, going digital. Although GMG continues to grow, we still consider ourselves part of the small business category, with about 25 employees nationwide. As a small agency, we understand the hard work and manpower required to successfully deliver to our clients, and that may be why we love working with organizations that are helping small businesses around the globe develop and grow.

We believe that our clients have the potential to change the world, and that’s why we enjoy working with them so much. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to showcase some of the disruptive tech clients that we have had the pleasure of working with, and the different ways they’re helping small businesses get their names out there and show the world what they’re working on.

In a world enveloped by technology, small business owners understand the importance of establishing an online presence. That’s why having a website is crucial for any small business to be a success. Without the ability to connect and engage with your audience through their computers or mobile devices, you’re missing out on a large piece of the pie. Webs, provider of an easy-to-use marketing platform specifically designed for the small business, provides business owners with DIY website building tools that make web design and social media simple and affordable. A recent survey conducted by Webs showed that 80% of small business owners act as their own webmasters, making Webs an easy choice for someone who is busy running a business.

For businesses that host events, it is important not only to keep track of those events, but to also have a way to easily publicize them and gain insight for future programs. Just last week Localist, the industry’s only provider of an online calendar platform with an emphasis on marketing, announced Localist Simple, an affordable online calendaring software geared towards small marketing teams. Localist Simple provides small businesses with a branded online events calendar that integrates seamlessly into their existing website. Localist’s calendars don’t simply display events; they work as a marketing tool by promoting brands through organic event content and increasing web traffic, boosting event attendance and saving time and money for organizations large and small.

Of course, our interconnected world also brings greater risks. Whether it’s malware, hackers, or just distraction, the Internet has plenty of dangers to go around. Small business owners are often too busy to delve deep into the ins and outs of cybersecurity, and many don’t have the resources to appoint a Chief Security Officer or an IT team with extensive security credentials. Too many small businesses are vulnerable to cybersecurity threats that they may not be equipped to handle. My Digital Shield provides small business with quality security that is as simple as plugging in a router – one step and you have enterprise-level network security protecting you from thousands of online threats, including botnets, Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, malware, and more for a price that small businesses can afford.

Small businesses have many resources at their disposal to grow, promote and protect their assets and we at Gabriel Marketing Group are honored to represent some of the most innovative small business technologies on the market.
