Washington, D.C. is becoming a hotbed for innovation. And as a technology marketing company in the Nation’s Capital, the GMG team had the privilege of hanging out with creators of some of the coolest up-and-coming products on the market at last week’s Product Hunt DC Meet-up.

In an effort to showcase some of the best new products hitting the market each and every day, Product Hunt serves as a place for product-loving enthusiasts to share and geek out about the latest mobile apps, websites, hardware projects and tech creations. Product Hunt has quickly become the best way to discover, promote and share new products, all while nurturing an environment to network with some of the best and brightest minds in the area; and #ProductHuntDC hosted at 1776, an incubator for the world’s most promising startups, was nothing short of that.

Sponsored by Webs, the digital services division of Vistaprint and provider of the world’s premier marketing platform for the small business, Product Hunt DC brought some of the city’s most disruptive innovators together for a night of great discussion, all of which GMG CEO, Leah Nurik, had the pleasure of moderating. Some of the speakers included:

  • Pagemodo – Provider of cutting-edge social marketing tools for small businesses. Pagemodo offers small businesses owners the tools they need to grow their brand and engage with customers across social channels.
  • nvite —  The industry’s first attendee-focused event registration and ticketing platform. With a simple setup, social CRM, analytics and guest messaging, nvite has processed tens of thousands of tickets, hosting hundreds of events from Silicon Valley to the White House.
  • Social Tables – A web-based event-planning platform for hospitality, meeting and event professionals. Social Tables offers simple solutions to solve the complex problems associated with event planning. From diagramming and seating to check-in and marketing, Social Tables is event-planning software that works with any process.
  • And a chat with Erik Torenberg, part of the Product Hunt founding team.

From stories of each executive’s “aha moment,” to tips and best practices for startup companies in the technology industry, Product Hunt DC was truly a great event. GMG is always on the lookout for what is up-and-coming in the world of technology, especially in our own backyard, and our team was thrilled to be a part of such a great meeting of innovative minds in the DC area.
